OV-chipkaart

With the OV-chipkaart, you can travel with all public transportation throughout the Netherlands. You can top up your balance, add a subscription or discount product, or travel on invoice. And did you know that you can also check in and out with your debit card and may not need to buy an OV-chipkaart at all?

Personal OV-chipkaart

For some season tickets you still need a personal OV-chipkaart, but you can more and more often simply link travel subscriptions and discount products to your debit card. You will find this information with the travel product you want to purchase.

If you still want or need a personal OV-chipkaart, you can buy one for € 7.50 at www.ov-chipkaart.nl.

Anonymous OV-chipkaart

If you don't want to or can't check in and out with your debit card, credit card, or mobile phone, and you also don't have a (age) discount or subscription, you can use an anonymous OV-chipkaart. An anonymous OV-chipkaart also costs €7.50 and can be purchased:

At vending machines at a station
At transport company counters
At tobacco shops and supermarkets
At OVshop, the webshop for public transport

Or visit a service point near you.
